as a mixture of performance art and photography, li wei creates work that is not aided by computer generation. instead, the artist claims that these images are made possible with the help of props like mirrors, metal wires, scaffolding, and acrobatics.

julius popp & the word fountain.

julius popp is an installation artist that uses computer-controlled water droplets to create a “fountain of words” randomly selected from the internet. using 128 nozzles, serious genius, and magnetic valves, he creates a pseudo-plasma screen that drips information through the air and is regenerated with the use of a collection tank. thus the work entitled “bitfall” literally recreates the flood of visual media.
